Drinking/Drunk head canon:
The rest of the crew don’t drink alcohol either because they don’t feel the need to (Pilot America, Britannia Angel and Superhero America), don’t like the taste of it (Link) or can’t because it will impair their abilities (Footballer England and Merman America). Pirate UK’s soul from his previous human days is still in love with alcohol, especially rum, so he is the only one that gets drunk. He’ll start with a full ceramic tankard of rum that is at least a pint in size! The more he drinks, the giddier he gets in mood and the less coherent he becomes with words. In completely drunk mode, he’ll spill out his real feelings for you. If he dislikes you, he’ll cuss you and attempt to start a fight. If he likes you, he’ll be extremely flirty. If he loves you, he’ll tackle you into a hug and fall asleep on you!
Bedroom/house/living quarters head canon:
The whole crew live in a medium sized bedroom in a two floored house in Manchester, England, UK. They all have a designated spot to sit and sleep in. Pirate UK and Pilot America share an office chair, sat together on a Union Flag pillow. They also sit with their friends Hetaloid Japan and Flying Mint Bunny. Link sits with his family on a wooden armchair. Britannia Angel and Superhero America share one end of a wall shelf, with their pets “Squeak the Riceball Rabbit” and “Mr Unicorn”. Footballer England sits on the other end of the same shelf, with his football. Merman America sits at the base of the bed on a long pile of fabrics, with his pet dolphin and a plush cheeseburger!
Once the crew wake up, they move around the room and greet each other. Sometimes they’ll invade the bed to play on it, hence some of the photographs for the blog are taken on the bed. Sometimes they’ll surf the Internet on the laptop computer. Sometimes they’ll play games on a Nintendo DS. Since The Big Pirate Adventure was announced, Pirate UK, Pilot America and Link will spar together with swords.
The crew often leave the bedroom in the afternoon to go downstairs. They like to steal food from the kitchen and play on the sofa in the lounge. Sometimes they’ll also watch TV and films in the lounge too. If humans like Admin’s family are in sight, they’ll freeze and stay still! Admin’s Mother (the crew call her “Grandma/Yia Yia”) picks up Pirate UK and Pilot America from time to time, dusts them down with a feather duster and talks to them when she thinks no one is listening! She has her own names for them too - “Prince” for Pirate UK and “Little Niou-Niouz” (her own version of Cute Patootie) for Pilot America! On some nights, Pirate UK and Pilot America sneak into the admin’s single bed to sleep! Merman America sometimes joins them, but they are fast asleep, Admin moves them back out because there is no room for all of us!
Question of my choosing - when they part ways head canon:
When Pirate UK and Link leave the house to go to a convention but can’t take the rest of the crew with them, there are many hugs and high-fives of “see you later”. Pirate UK will cuddle up to and hold Pilot America on the night before he’s due to leave because he misses his best friend when he’s away. Link cuddles with a plush farm horse he has named “Epona” and listens to words of advice from Princess Zelda and his brothers. If Britannia Angel is due to leave, he cuddles up with his best friend Superhero America. Why so much affection you ask? Well, plush toys are made to be loved. When they don’t get affection from a human touch, the plush crew turn to each other instead. They see themselves as a family. There is the odd argument and spat between Pirate UK and Pilot America, but it doesn’t last for very long.
If any plush dolls are leaving for good to go to a new home, they get longer and more emotional hugs goodbye. When “Merman UK” left, Merman America didn’t want to let go of him as they were “mates”! When “Cool Britannia” left, Pilot America gave him the longest hug out of all the crew! Pirate UK said to both of the UK plush dolls before they left: “Good Luck Bruvs and make me proud!”

As a doll, I was completed on 21st August 2011, so I’m 1 year old and 9 months old! I’m the second youngest of our crew, the youngest is Merman America. I also celebrate 4th July like a birthday too. Can I have two birthday parties this year? I wonder if Pirate UK will get me anything…

Pirate UK smiled brightly at Matthew when he saw him put on the hat. “Aye, good choice lad, it suits ye! And thank ye, for wanting to fly with us!” Pirate UK took of his hat and gave a small bow to Matthew, while twirling his hat in his hand fancily. Pilot America waved back at Matthew, before turning to the Ship Wheel and pulling on some levers.
“Yes, I use magic to make wind that helps the ship to fly” piped up Britannia Angel to Matthew, fluttering over to sit on his shoulder. Pilot America overheard this and decided to add his two cents. “The ship is a big machine, it has parts that help it fly on its own! If you pull on certain levers and move the wheel like this, you can make the ship fly!” he called over to Matthew and Britannia Angel. “It’s called ‘Science”!”
“It’s magic that you can learn” whispered Britannia Angel to Matthew.
